Maruti Suzuki knows the Indian SUV market better than most. And with the Brezza, they’ve always played it smart. Now, with the New Maruti Brezza 2025, they’re bringing in updates that make it look more modern, feel more premium, and perform better. It’s not a ground-up change, but the tweaks are noticeable. Let’s walk through what’s new, what’s improved, and why the Brezza still holds its ground.
Design Refresh
The shape and size remain familiar, but the 2025 Brezza now looks bolder. The front grille is bigger and wider. It has a new mesh pattern that looks more aggressive. The bumper has been reworked too, with a chunkier design and silver skid plates that give it a tougher stance.
The LED DRLs have a new light signature. Headlamps are slimmer. Tail lamps now extend a bit onto the boot lid and carry a smoked-out finish.
Maruti has added two new dual-tone color options. One is a fiery orange with a black roof. The other is a matte grey that gives the SUV a stealthy vibe. Even the alloy wheel design is new, with a machine-cut finish that makes it stand out more on the road.
Cabin Feels Better
Step inside and you’ll feel the difference instantly. The dashboard layout stays the same, but the materials used are now softer and better finished. The central console gets a piano black surround. The steering wheel is now flat-bottomed with leather wrapping and contrast stitching.
The big talking point is the new 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system. It’s smoother to use, has better touch response, and connects faster with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. And yes, wireless connectivity is now standard in higher trims.
The Brezza now offers a new fabric upholstery design. Top-end variants get leatherette seat covers. Front seats feel more supportive. Rear seat space remains the same, which means it’s good enough for three average-sized adults.
Ambient lighting has also been added. It’s subtle, placed around the door handles and footwell, and makes the cabin feel a bit more premium during night drives.
Engine and Drive
There’s no change under the hood. The Brezza still uses the 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine. It produces 103 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. It’s paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
The engine is tuned for smoothness, not for sudden punch. So it’s great in the city, especially in traffic. The automatic version now feels a bit quicker on kickdown thanks to improved gear ratios.
Fuel efficiency has gone up slightly. Expect around 17.4 kmpl for the manual and 19.1 kmpl for the automatic, depending on driving style.
Maruti is also working on a stronger mild-hybrid system, and while it hasn’t launched with this update, it may be added later in the year.
Features Added
Maruti has loaded the new Brezza with some extra tech. Here’s what’s new in the 2025 model:
- 360-degree camera with adaptive guidelines
- Wireless charging pad
- Type-C charging ports for both rows
- Auto-dimming IRVM
- Updated Arkamys-tuned sound system
- Ventilated front seats (in top variants)
The heads-up display has also been upgraded. You can now adjust brightness and display info more easily using the infotainment screen.
Keyless entry, push start, cruise control, and rear AC vents continue as before. A sunroof is still offered, and now it opens wider than before.
Safety Updates
Maruti has made six airbags standard on the ZXi+ trim. Lower trims still get dual airbags. You also get:
- Hill hold assist
- ESC (electronic stability control)
- Rear parking sensors
- ISOFIX mounts for child seats
- High-speed alert system
The Brezza hasn’t been crash-tested in its latest form, but the platform remains the same. It’s built on Suzuki’s Global C platform which has done decently in crash tests in the past.
Variants and Price
The New Brezza 2025 is available in four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Automatic is offered from VXi upwards. Prices have gone up slightly due to the new features.
Variant | Transmission | Approx Price (₹) |
---|---|---|
LXi | Manual | 8.65 lakh |
VXi | Manual/Auto | 9.80 – 10.80 lakh |
ZXi | Manual/Auto | 11.40 – 12.60 lakh |
ZXi+ | Manual/Auto | 13.30 – 14.60 lakh |
Top trims are now loaded to match compact SUVs from rivals like Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. But the Brezza still wins on reliability, service cost, and resale.
Who It’s For
If you want a subcompact SUV that’s easy to live with, the 2025 Brezza still fits the bill. It’s great for city traffic. It feels stable on highways. It’s not loud or flashy, but does everything right.
The new features just make it easier to recommend now, especially for buyers who want value and trust the Maruti badge.
