Mahindra & Mahindra is turning up the heat in the premium EV segment with the launch of the Pack Two versions of its popular born-electric SUVs, the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6. With this, buyers now get the choice of a larger 79 kWh battery alongside the existing 59 kWh unit.
Customer deliveries for these new Pack Two models will start by the end of this month. The updated range now starts at ₹21.90 lakh for the BE 6 59 kWh variant and goes up to ₹26.50 lakh for the XEV 9e 79 kWh version (all prices ex-showroom).
More Range For Long Trips
The biggest highlight here is the bigger 79 kWh battery pack. Mahindra claims this option will offer an impressive 500 km city range on a single charge. The smaller 59 kWh pack continues to promise a real-world range of 400 km, which is still solid for daily use.
Current customers waiting for their vehicles can also upgrade to this new long-range version if they wish. However, do note that the home charger setup comes at an additional cost, with options of 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW units available separately.
Premium Interiors, High-Tech Cabin
Inside, Mahindra has left no stone unturned to keep these EVs feature-rich. The BE 6 Pack Two brings in plush sage leatherette seats and an ivory roof liner taken from the premium Pack Three variant. The XEV 9e continues with its triple-screen dashboard, giving the cabin a truly modern vibe.
A panoramic glass roof, Level 2 ADAS, and a powerful 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos are standard on both battery versions, ticking all the right boxes for tech-savvy buyers.
Strong Motors, Quick Charging
The 59 kWh version runs a 170 kW motor while the bigger 79 kWh pack gets a more powerful 210 kW motor for extra punch. Quick charging is well taken care of too. The smaller battery can handle up to 140 kW DC fast charging, while the bigger pack supports 175 kW DC charging – juicing up from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Both SUVs come with multiple drive modes, a Boost Mode for instant acceleration, multi-step regenerative braking, Auto mode, and even a one-touch single-pedal drive option for added convenience in traffic.
Smooth Ride And Easy Handling
Handling and comfort remain top-notch thanks to an electric power steering setup with variable gear ratio for tight U-turns in city streets. The front iLink suspension and rear 5-link layout, paired with advanced dampers, promise a plush ride on rough roads too.
Low rolling resistance tyres help reduce road noise and vibration, working with NVH dampening to keep the cabin peaceful. Features like Adaptive Cruise Control and SonicSuite virtual engine sounds wrap up the premium driving experience.
